Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Marketing and Sales Officer to lead our marketing and sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving the adoption of solar energy products, including solar inverters, batteries, water pumps, and other accessories. The position demands a results-oriented professional with a strong background in marketing and sales, as well as a passion for advancing renewable energy solutions in Ethiopia’s urban and off-grid regions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative marketing strategies to promote solar products tailored to urban and off-grid markets.
- Identify potential customers, generate leads, and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Provide customers with detailed product knowledge and technical insights, emphasizing the benefits of solar energy solutions.
- Create impactful marketing materials, such as brochures, presentations, and digital content, targeting specific market segments.
- Build and nurture lasting relationships with clients, offering personalized customer service and addressing their needs.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze key metrics, and prepare comprehensive reports to track progress against revenue goals.
- Anticipate market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking sessions, and exhibitions to enhance brand visibility and foster strategic partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, business development, and after-sales service, to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Leverage digital marketing channels to promote products and boost brand awareness.
- Work with minimal supervision to achieve ambitious sales and marketing targets.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a senior role and 2 years in the solar energy sector.
- Proficiency in digital marketing and marketing material design.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to negotiate and close sales, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- A results-driven mindset focused on achieving business objectives and revenue growth.
- Strong teamwork, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and the MS Office Suite.
