Job Overview
The Senior Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing all surveying activities at the project site, ensuring that the construction is carried out in accordance with the design and project requirements. They will play a key role in determining land boundaries, preparing site layouts, and conducting measurements to establish reference points and lines. The Senior Surveyor will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all survey data and collaborating with the construction team to ensure precise execution of the plans.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Conduct land surveys to determine accurate measurements and boundaries for construction projects.
- Prepare detailed survey reports, including site plans, elevation profiles, and other technical documentation.
- Supervise and guide junior surveyors and field staff.
- Ensure the accuracy and precision of all survey data, calculations, and measurements.
- Establish and maintain reference points and benchmarks for the construction team.
- Coordinate with engineers and architects to ensure survey data aligns with the design plans.
- Monitor and maintain survey equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Resolve any surveying issues that arise during the course of the project.
- Review and verify survey drawings and calculations to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Ensure that all surveying activities comply with safety and environmental regulations.
Qualification and Experience
- Educational Qualification: Diploma from a Technical School in Surveying.
- General Experience: 10 years of relevant experience in surveying.
- Similar Experience: 6 years of specific experience as a Senior Surveyor, preferably in large-scale construction projects.
