Job Overview
The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the construction activities at the project site. This includes managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring that work is carried out according to the project specifications, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The Site Engineer will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other engineers to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. They will also be responsible for coordinating with subcontractors, supervising construction teams, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage construction activities on-site to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and project progress.
- Ensure that the construction work complies with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the progress and quality of work.
- Review and approve material requisitions and ensure the proper use of resources.
- Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for project managers and stakeholders.
- Resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise on-site.
- Ensure that all work is carried out following environmental, health, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate site records and documentation for all activities and transactions.
Qualification and Experience
- Educational Qualification: BSc Degree or above in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or other related fields.
- General Experience: 6 years of relevant experience in construction.
- Similar Experience: 3 years of specific experience as a Site Engineer, preferably in large-scale construction projects.
