Job Overview
The Structural Foreman will be responsible for supervising and managing all structural work on the construction site, ensuring that the work is completed according to plans, specifications, and safety standards. This includes overseeing the construction of foundations, columns, beams, and other structural elements of the building. The Structural Foreman will supervise construction crews, manage work schedules, and collaborate closely with engineers and other site supervisors to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the construction of structural elements such as foundations, columns, beams, and slabs.
- Ensure that all structural work is carried out according to project drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Manage and direct the activities of the construction crew, ensuring that they work efficiently and follow safety protocols.
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of construction equipment and tools.
- Monitor progress to ensure that the structural work is completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular inspections of structural work to ensure that quality standards are met.
- Communicate with project managers and other foremen to provide updates on progress and resolve any issues.
- Maintain records of daily activities, including work completed, crew attendance, and material usage.
- Ensure that the work environment is safe and that all workers are adhering to safety procedures.
Qualification and Experience
- Educational Qualification: Diploma from a Technical School in Construction.
- General Experience: 6 years of relevant experience in structural construction.
- Similar Experience: 4 years of specific experience as a Structural Foreman, preferably in large-scale construction projects.
